A very cool internet video of behind the scenes shooting and editing of a still life product shot – some great techniques used if you watch carefully

I’m sure most photographers out there will be familiar with the adventure series of images created by Dave Hill – but check out this virtual flythough the layers of each image – hard to describe – just watch !!!! Interesting to see how the images were composited

Playing around trying to do a simple still life – used around three strobes in various positions with snoots etc to give several variations then merged in photoshop to give the final image, posted the originals below and may provide a tutorial on this at a later date

Simple edit using mostly clone and healing tools – might redo this one with commentry over it at some point – but for now just take it as it is !!!

No shoots planned so got out my macro and started hunting for Backgrounds for composite images – needs some more work but will share an attempt !

Quick composite shot for today – background shot with G9 compact, close up of a perfume tin !
