Just playing to get a bit of an arty look

A few taken on a very dull and uninspiring night – light was terrible but made the most of it

Prototype trigger should now (Wednesday) be at StillShot studios in Preston so hope Brian will send a few pictures and comments to add to the blog Brian will be trying the trigger as I work on the final (boxed) version this week.

Got the pcb board assembled, and prototype up and running first time ! The system is now working with sound, infra red, photogate and photosensor inputs, opto isolators with up to 8 outputs running, delay times to 1 sec with ultra fine adjustment and instant outputs

All looking good so should be able to create first full production unit next week with a few tweaks to design to tidy the board.

Simple sound trigger - simple trigger manufactured on Vero Board – connections for :

(1x) sensor (supplied seperately)
(1x) flash unit (leads supplied seperately)
9v battery connection (lead included)

Advanced sound trigger including delay timer – trigger manufactured on Vero Board delay unit for either 0 to 0.1 sec or 0 to 1 sec (please specify) reset delay of 1 sec – connections for :

(1x) sensor (supplied seperately)
(1x) flash unit instant trigger (leads supplied seperately)
(1x) flash unit delay trigger (leads supplied seperately)
9v battery connection (lead included)

Optionaly available for this board are opto – isolating outputs (provide isolation between flashguns and the trigger circuit), these may be added for a maximum of 3 flash units (3x instant and 3x delay)

Optionaly available on this board is additional sensor input for photogate trigger (supplied as a separate sensor)

Arduino systems – custom made arduino systems for ultimate triggers

Arduino systems provide custom functions that can be pre-programmed by the end user for specific tasks see the following post for an Arduino system running a water collision program

Following a few succesfull demo evenings I’ve had a few requests for purchasing trigger units similar to the one I have been using.

Not a bad month – still a few dissapointing cancellations and no-shows, probably part of the reason I’ve taken the decision to not shoot anymore portfolio stuff for anyone in the future, the models that I’m still interested in working on personel projects with know who they are, as do the ones that have let me down !
